Syn in tranny

Has any one changed their tranny fluid to all syn? I was told by a mech that I should not convert to all syn, due to the fact that it would cause excessive slipage. If I desire to upgrade the fluid I should use a blend. Can any one either agree with this claim or dispute it?

I having been using AMSOIL ATF for 3 years. You should have no problems changing. The synthetic ATF is not too "slippery". It meets the Ford specs for Mercon and Mercon V and runs cooler and cleaner.

AgExplorer is right. Synthetics will not cause any damage.

My local Ford dealership has a TSB and they will only use synthetics in A4LDs. The only drawback would be if your tranny is leaking now it will only get worse with synthetics.
