Synthetic Question

Ok you synthetic guys, I have 36,000 miles on my 2000 Sport, can I switch over to synthetic oil without doing anything, or do I have to prepare it somehow first?

Also, do I use 10W30 or 5W30 synthetic oil? Vehicle sticker in the engine says 5W30, but that is for regular oil. Thanks!

Welcome to the synthetic world....

You can immediately switch over to FULL synthetic, not a blend.

I have used 5w30 and am currently using 0w30 ( for better gas mileage ).

I have 8k miles on this oil and just sent in a sample for analysis.

I use Amsoil. You can get a special price on Amsoil products from AgExplorer, a member here, and an honorable business person.

Good luck and also consider changing all your fluids to synthetic.....
