Hey all,

I need some help. I am thinking about buying a system for my truck. I have a 2001 Explorer Sport. Here are the specs I am thinking about:
Head Unit: Alpine CDA-7894
Front/Rear Speakers: Infinity Kappa 572.3cf
Front/Rear AMP: Rockford Fosgate 500x
Sub: Rockford Fosgate Punch HE 10'
Sub Amp: Rockford Fosgate Punch 200S

So here is my question: Can I mount the new sub in the
location of the old sub without buying those enclosures?

Thanks,
Rich

the stock subwoofer enclosure is really small. i dont think it would be a good idea to try mounting that sub in there. i think the stock sub is only 8" anyway.

You could mod the location if you so desire. I had a 10" MTX Thunderform in there with no problems...but the enclosure volume is only .66 cubes. If you modded the area you'd have NO TROUBLE fitting a full cube or more back there...

I'm running the Infinity Kappa 572.3's in the front powered off an MTX amp getting about 100 per side. They sound great!

hey how are the 572.3cfs? i have heard that they are low on the bass responces. i tryed to listin to them but they had there board messed up.. so they sounded like ****.. but the 6x9s 3 way. sounded hella nice.

Thanks for the information. How much of a mod would I have to do?
