t-case interchange

will a 01 awd case fit in my 98 awd ?

From the sources I have looked at they are different cases..... the guy trying to sell it to me says it will work....

from drivetrain.com it looks like the 01 case is a 4403? what are the differences in this case and the 4404 (that's what I have right?)

They're both 4404s and they will swap with one another.
