Can someone confirm for me that the 96-99 V8 X's with AWD T-cases had no wiring or computer control at all for the T-Case?

If so, that would make it really easy to put in a good old fasioned Manual BW1354 T-Case... which i think would be best for the 4r70w to T5 Swap that I want to do. I Know AA makes an adapter to connect the T5 to the 1354.

Also, Would the manual BW1354 bolt inplace of the stock BW4405?

How strong is the 1354? I'm thinking of supercharging the V8.

1.Yes
2.No. First off, you have a 4404, not a 4405 in a V8 explorer. You will need AA's kit to run a 1354 behind the V8 tranny.
3.It's pretty strong for a chain-driven case. You can run it behind a stock 5.0 no prob. Supercharge it and all bets are off.
