This will be my first time, I have been wanting to go to tahuya/elbe hills/evans creek for sometime now. Evans creek will have to wait till the spring thaw, by then I should be locked and lifted more.

Sadly I spend most of my free time wandering in these mountains, yet I am unfamiliar with theses areas. Suppose that's a side effect of to much hiking, and not enough driving. Would anyone like to enlighten me as to the location, and difficulty of these "playgrounds". I am currently only running with a TT and Shackles. tires are bfg 30" Am i able?
Tahuya is south of belfair/bremerton I think off of highway 300.
From what I have it is not real difficult somewhat flat and muddy with some mud pits( if you want) and rock gardens, the trails are well maintained, it sounds tame and for people looking for more of a challenge they go to evans creek.
here is a link to group that has some trip reports for this area, they are from the milton area. http://207.202.208.243/faithwheelers/index.htm
my friend who is coming along will be driving a almost stock 88 4wd subaru, so far he has gone anywhere I have.
I only have 31's and a total of 4 1/2" of lift so I do not think you would have a problem.
