tailgate swap question, and a part out question

I tried to search for the answer, but couldn't find anything for sure, although i know it's been covered....

I have a 01 XLT 4 door, will a tailgate from a 01 2dr sport fit it?? It looks a little different at the bottom, on the outside, but other than that, it looks like it will fit.....yes??

Also, is there any value to parting out a 01 Sport, or should I just send it off to the junkyard. Sadly, it's in better overall shape than my XLT, but it has motor issues and I don't have time to swap a 175xxx mile motor into it.

I'm pretty sure the '01 Sport and 4-door lift-gates are the same.

No interest from anyone in any parts from a 01 Sport?? Figured someone would atleast want the white face gauges. Oh well, off to the junkyard it goes then.

Did you post anthing in the parts section? If not, you might get more responses. Or try listing what is "good" on your truck w/pics.
