TDS '09 Return to Truckhaven Mar. 6th-8th.

I doubt i'll make it, the back end of my bed is being held together with a tie-down strap. I need to make some supports before it's driveable.
Have fun:salute:
Okay, new list:

Fakawee
BKennedy
Brother of Jefe
BKennedy's friend Mike and family.

Tom is going to call me when he arrives so I can post his camp spot pick for the rest of us late arrivals.

When you plan on hitting the road?
Tom and I spoke about this and we are planning on him getting a spot on the mesa, about one mile east of that relay tower on S-22. He should be along that mesa, or the one closer to the tower that is split by a deep wash.
I think this will be the first trip where everyone has an RV to sleep in.

wish we were able to go. lots of pics please

When you plan on hitting the road?

hoping to head out at 3 - we'll see

(a lot easier trying to find you guys with some daylight?)

Tom is driving around looking for a spot, says its all full. He should be calling me back soon.

Tom is camped 1.3 miles east of the relay tower. He says there is a large group about 1.1 miles east of the tower with a beacon, then a smaller group, then Tom "all by himself". n He has his Navajo parked in front of his RV and the porch light on.
We should be leaving in about thirty minutes.

make it back?:(

Wonderful weather! The new TDS base camp location worked very well, but was laid out in a kind of mish-mash.

Neither Tom or I won anything at the raffle (although I did try to negotiate a deal with the guy who won the set of Wrangler 37"s)

The mayhem at the ditches Sat night was priceless - much carnage and a 3-round brawl between "Bugs Bunny and the Trash Can Man" (and apparently there where a few in the crowd with a desire for the medicinal application of cannibbis)

Mayhem at the ditches... You could say that!

Did anyone See me shear my rear diff carrier in half trying to climb that, axle eater, 8' vertical wall?

By the way.... anyone have a rear 8.8 31 spline trac-lok with carrier?? :)

I sucked with pictures this year.... I didnt even get one while I was on the RTI ramp...
Here are the only two I got.

Here is my carnage from the "trenches"....

7-8' verticle wall.... Almost made it...

Front: Broken inner axle shaft...

Rear: Split the Carrier in half....

*obviosly both my gearsets are wasted too. I still have my 4.10 ring and pinions, so I need an inner axle shaft and a rear carrier to get back running.

Thankfully I had the front locker.... I actually drove it out of the trenches and back out, to where the Vendors normally used to be, on ONE wheel in Reverse. My driver front tire was the only thing working and If I went in reverse real slow The rear wouldnt bind up....
