Just testing.... Ashli and I haven't wheeled since we got married at Moab. I checked our schedule and we finally have a weekend opening up next month. I'd like to get out sooner and enjoy the fall colors but I'm a coach of a football team with Saturday morning games and the season ends the prior weekend on Nov 13, so the next weekend is the first that we could do it.

I'm unemployed and not looking to break $tuff so if you've got a less-modified rig we'll be happy just tooling around on the non-hardcore trails. If you haven't run Tellico yet, do a search so you'll learn that there are no "easy" trails there, but if you are adventurous enough and have modified yours enough to be at the superstocker level (31" tires, 1.5" lift, limited slip, skidplates) I'll be happy to lead you on Trails 3,4,5,6, or 8. Be aware that at least minor body damage is always a very real possibility when running any trail at Tellico. Of course if anyone is interested in the tougher stuff, I'm sure the opportunity might arise :D

Ashli and I are looking for nights relaxing at a campout with great food and fellowship with friends - probably at Crawford's Campground - and scenic runs in the Tellico mountains during the days.

At this point I'm just fishing for response - would anyone else be interested?

hmmm...

i wonder how far it its to Tellico from SWVA, I ain't looking to break nothing either, but I would like to do some moderate wheelin' with my super stock ride. And camping is always fun :)

Do a Mapquest to Murphy NC (close to Tellico) then you'll know how far it is. Tellico is in the far southwest corner of NC on the TN line near GA.

i may be in.

gjarrett this is troy mccrary from the emails. i might be interested in going with you. i have 7 inches of lift 35's but no lockers and no gears. and college student who is broke so i would be in the no damage wanted category. that weekend sounds pretty good to me. just let me know my cousin, my brother and i might go.

Shoot I might join as well, lil bit of a drive buy I'd like to meet some of you guys and would love to go wheelin as long as you don't mind a nub taggin along :D

ouch, 6 hours... i can be in charleston in less time than that

Total Est. Distance: 558.10 miles for me ;)

I'm in, so long as you guys don't bail like you did the last time a Tellico trip was planned ;) :D

I've been wanting to go for a while myself. I'll check my schedule and see what works out.

I would go but my Truck still anit running...

I'm not particular and uppity about that stuff :) As a matter of fact Jason PM'd me that the club he joined may be there and he's the only Explorer.

I rather enjoy listening to J**pers make fun of me before the run starts and then watch their jaws drop when I outperform them during the run :D

Kris, you've still got a little time - you've got another Tellico run to make with better conditions and weather :) At least the Texans show up more often than all the other noshows. Limited Ex, I'm good to go on this one unless the weather craps out.... you're right, there seems to always be a lot of noshows when a Tellico run comes up, and I'm sorry I had to be one last time. Ashli and I are planning to camp out, so rain could stop us, but barring rain we'll be there for sure.

actually, i'm the only non Jeep. no worries about them doubting the explorer though.. they saw it in action a few weeks ago. i'll get a yes or no from the wife this week and post up.

She could join us...... :D LOL

Seriously, didn't you say she would go camping but she thinks fourwheeling was redneck, or something like that?

....For a little non-redneck ambiance, I could loan you my woodgrain dash and leather seats, or....

...the easier option is we could switch wives during the run instead of interiors, LMAO :D

hahaha.. yeah she doesn't mind the camping.. its the wheeling she considers redneck.

i'll run the wifeswap thing by her.. this may be the last time yall hear from me.

Right now, I gotta say I can't make it. Work looks to be too busy that week. If I can make it, I'll be there.

As long as we have no snow in boone by then I am in. I might also bring a jeep with me as well my brothers. Hope to see a big turnout.

Snow in Boone, NC before Thanksgiving? I'm gonna give a maybe, I gotta find out with my roommate what time he plans on leaving for Philly on Sunday. But the girl i'm seeing would probably be up for doing some 4wheelin' and camping and this way she can meet JasonB so he can further make fun of me when she "breaks my heart" :p

It has happened before and I work at a ski mountain so I would have to be there if it did snow. I could possible be bringing a girl as well just depends on if we are getting along at that point in time.
