temperature sending unit

I have a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer with a 4.6 liter and need help finding where the temperature sending unit is located on the engine thanks for any help Larry

I am assuming you mean on the engine... follow the top radiator hose to where it enters the plastic housing on the engine, the temperature sending unit is just above and to the left of where the radiator hose mounts in that area (on the same plastic housing).

Flag Gibby thanks for the quick reply but my tope hose goes on a metal housing forgot to say this is a 4.6 I will change my post Thanks again, Larry
