How do I tell if the sensor is bad? Changing the EGR valve on a 1998 5.0 and found a small crack in the pipe, ordered two pipes from Stylin Trucks (second one 'cause I'm sure the valve needs replaced on another truck).
Lots of black soot in the pipe, found the crack in the accordion section when running cleaner through.
None of the codes it's ever had come up with anything about that sensor, just too lean/too rich causing it to pour gas down like a drunk on 10 cent beer night.
If I should just replace the sensor anyway, I found best price at Rock Auto.
