i bought my 94 explorer 4 days ago and thx to the site and some help on my posts i have fixed:
1) wheel bearings
2)radius arm bushings (had clunk but no more) :D
3)egr valve and tube cracked
4)air filter, fuel filter
5)fuel sender unit and fuel pump

glad i did it myself to save the money :)

only PROBLEM i have left is the CEL for the EGR. After i replaced the EGR tube i got the CEl, had it checked and guy said it was EGR valve, which i beleived cause it was really rusted up. but i still have the CEl after just replacing the valve, what else could it be?
thanks
Jerry

Try a search for PFE. It is the sensor that controls the EGR. It throws codes that point to the EGR when it isn't really the EGR.

Also, make sure to pull the battery cable off for a little while to clear the EGR code after putting in the new part, if you haven't done that already.
