Had to replace the EGR inlet tube as it was cracked/leaking at the base.

Sprayed the compression nuts at the exhaust manifold in WD-40 rust penetrator both Monday night and last night, while the exhaust was still warm nonetheless.

So went to work on it this afternoon. The big nut actually came off relatively easily, albeit completely separating from the EGR tube. No big deal since it's being replaced anyway, right? Well then I couldn't get the damn small nut off the large nut! No amount of WD-40 or heating made it to budge. Went over to Home Depot to see if by chance they had something the same size that would work, which they didn't, nor did they believe the nuts would ever come apart. The guy at AAP couldn't find it in the computer, nor was he able to separate the two with large crescent wrenches.

Would dealers have this part in stock? It's the compression nut that goes between exhaust manifold and the EGR inlet tube.

Never mind, I found it.

OEM part number is F87Z-9F485-AA for anyone else who may need it. Applies to 98+ OHV V6.
