The Aerostar build date is confusing.

I have a 93 ford aerostar 4.0 a4wd that was apparently built in December of that year any know the production dates of these vans this is very confusing.

I assume since it is known the van was built in December, the tag was checked. What is being asked is, what is the production dates for each model year. Ford starts the next model year the Monday after 4th of July. I do know multiple model years can be built at the same time such as 93 and 94, the vin will show what model year it was sold as.

I know what you mean. My 1993 was built near the end of the year so it's like a 1994.

Double check the 10th position. 7th is correct, 8th should be x. I suspect 3 is in the 9th and there should be a P or R in the 10th spot.
