hey all. i was wondering what everybody thinks about these new ford commercials? i dont undestand what ford's trying to establish, making the new fords into music videos? i personally thign they should be going about something with gas prices, instead of advertising two of their mst gas guzzling vehicles. Just wondering what everyone thinks  :thumbdwn:

trucks and SUVs are their bread and butter...they can't just jump ship now that gas is expensive.

I personally HATE the new BEEP BEEP commerical. How childish. It sounds like it was made for 4 year old kids.

i like their ads (life - life in drive) for the fusion, magazines and tv, not the american idol sing-a-longs

My daughter is 2, and she loves it. Every time it comes on she yells "Beep Beep!". :D

I think Ford advertising, and corporate mindset, droped the ball when they went away from the "quality is job one". Fords sucess in the 90s was because they were building a better quality product than GM and Chrysler. Now they think a cuter car will sell better.

I find the slogan "Quality is Job 1" ironic for the 90's, being that was the decade with the most recalls.

yes you both have good ideas...i think that was funny. I used to have a 91 F250 and i bought it with 258k miles on it...not a problem...i just traded it in for my X at a little over 400k miles. the car doesnt have but 216k miles and its broken again...but in etospect (if thats the right word) everyones cars are getting crappy...

My alltime favorite was the one with Toby Keith in the restaurant with two guys cracking on the ford truck. Then he shows them the frame pieces. Ford's frame was much thicker than Chevy or Dodge. That ruled !
