The round tow connector that comes stock in our first gen explorers, what is needed to get it to work? Voltage seems to be at one pin and that's it. Is there an adapter that has to plug in to activate it? I've heard there's some relays, or a connector in the rear compartment where the tire iron is, but I don't have it. Is this something I can order from a dealer or aftermarket, or how does it work?

I'm thinking of getting one of those hidden hitch relay boxes that hooks up to the battery and you attach it to the regular brake wires, but if my truck was wired for it from the factory, i'd like to try and get it to work.

I got my adapter from Advance auto parts.. They had to order it but it fixes it right up.. less than 30 dollars..
