AAL= Add a leaf to bring the back up to the height of the front.

nice explorer, i really like what u did with it

HELP HELP HELP HELP - - I NEED OPINIONS

I've done the torsion twist, and a friend here in Louisville who built these things told me to read the vin and torsion bar code to see if I have the strongest ones (as V8,4wd,complete packaged out models are noticably heavier) So now I have the strongest Tbars.

The azz of my '97EX sits a little saggy ( 1 3/4 in ) after 210,000 miles even before tt

I have already added a leaf BUT - HERES THE QUESTION

If I moved the rear leafs over the axle, it would be about 4 inches higher.
If I take out the added leafs and put a 1 in shorter shackle, would this balance the ride?

WHAT'S YOUR IMPUT Y'ALL /???????????

I can move my lower shock to where I used to have a sway bar mount on axle.

END RESULT - MORE GROUND CLEARANCE

Nice Ride there Chadders...looks good... what are u geared at?

meyek,

i say , just keep with the add a leaf, if u do an SOA then your opening up a whole new can of worms, alot of extra work for the end result, if your still saggy with Add-A-leafs, trying getting a 2" Spring Pack from Rancho or Superlift, and swap out the entire packs, i bet your springs are just so dead at that point.... ....edit: also try finding a leaf pack from a BII/Ranger/Exploder with a tow package, they should have Over Load Springs in them, that should add a slight bit of lift, however will stiff up your ride a bit...

Really nice ex and tell the gf she should take more pics as she seems to know what she is doing.

When you did the 2" TT, did it stretch out the shocks? You know, does it have that jumpy ride in the front? I have the RS5000 and about to do a little lift to gain some extra clearance, but we here in Southern California have to deal with 70+ mph on bumpy ass concrete freeways. Just don't want to add more discomfort to the already bumpy ride quality.
