2007 Ford Explorer
Hello my name is Vilear,

This is my second Ford Explorer. I have a 2007 4x4 XLT. I Love it! but i seemed to be having a serious issue with my coolant system...ugh, I am constantly smelling antifreeze and have to constantly keep filling the reserve tank and I'm looking for leaks every where and anywhere and yet never seem to find any. The whole system was replaced back in 2014 but i have also had to replace the Thermostat Housing twice, for some reason it just keeps cracking and my question for today is....is there any way to convert it to a Aluminum casing/housing instead of plastic?

Thank you for reading and look forward to as much advice as possible.

Have had mine for a few years now, works well and good support after the sale.

My 2006 started leaking coolant from the aluminum crossover right under the thermostat. It took me a while to figure out where the leak was coming from. I quickly grabbed an Intake gasket set from Autozone (Felpro of course) and quickly replaced the gaskets. it was extremely simple and I have not had any coolant leaking and puddling up under the intake anymore. I have a few pics if you want to send me your email.
