thinking of buying one

I am considering a 04 ish sport trac (or a full size f150 supercrew)to replace my explorer and am looking for some real world feedback on the sport trac...
I like the xlt premium package but up here all I can get with that (04 models anyway) is the 4.10...I do a fair amount of highway travel and currently don't tow anything...so I'd prefer the 3.73...should this be a concern as far as fuel consumption and everyday drive-ability....

The gears don't really matter because the 3.73's come with the smaller 235/70-16 tires and the 4.10's come with the larger 255/70-16 tires, so the rpm vs. road speed are probably about the same. The XLT Premium included the 255's and 4.10's.
I got a base XLT with 3.73's and put on 265/75-16's right away (after having a 4.10 geared Ranger) but the gas mileage is only slightly better.
