O.K so I hit the search button on this and know I need a toothbrush some TB or carb cleaner to get rid of the carbon build up. But what I didn't see is whether it's best to unbolt the TB to clean it or take the intake hose off and do it that way. I was trying to get the intake hose off at the TB last night and either I'm not pulling hard enough or there's a trick to getting it off. Any suggestions would be appreicated. BTW it's a'97 4.0l Sohc engine.

Thanks,
Kona

its a press on fit, the rubber hose is likely just frozen, try twisting it as you work it loose.
Dont forget to unbolt the TPS from the TB before cleaning (Throttle position sensor)

Just curious, why remove the TPS?

Get a Tornado and a resistor mod off eBay. WAY better than a TBS and cheaper too.
