I have a 1999 mount and my gas pedal has been sticking lately. Is there something that can be adjusted?

May be a sticking throttle body butterfly or a binding throttle cable. Pull the TB cover and inspect. GL

I haven't had this problem on an X but on other cars it's been a carbon build up around the throttle butterfly.

Ford says not to clean the throttle body with solvent because it has a coating on it but something no stronger than gasoline should be ok.

I used Inox.

Specific cleaners for the task. TB cleaner label states "coating safe".
Carbon can be difficult to remove, it may require several applications.

OR lubricate the throttle cable assembly itself. Don't want the pedal getting stuck at 110 MPH...
