I used advice from the forum on how to remove the throwout bearing and it was 100 % correct. I found the figure 8 retaining clip and removed it. My new throw out bearing had a nylon clip molded into it and when it slipped on it locked the bearing to the shaft. I assumed this was a different design and did not put the old retaining clip on. Now I have installed the tranny and while throwing away the packing material that the pressure plate and throw out bearing came in I found a new clip. Should I have installed the clip? If so sounds like the tranny will have to come out again.
