Time for tune up and I need to replace the plug wires...what is a good replacment? What is the prefered brand of spark plugs?

Besides wires and plugs what else should I look at or change?

I am going to have the tranny serviced, any advice?

It is a 1998 XLT 4WD, 4 dr, 115,000 miles....and i love it...

Thnx for looking... :)

Search...there's a ton of info about plugs and plug wires.

From what I have read the preferred plug is the Motocraft Platinum plug and the wires allot are using are the Motocraft ones or the Taylors from Summit Racing. I got the red colored Taylors from Summit and the plugs from EE on one of my orders.

I also have a 98 X, and I am doing almost everything for the tune-up. Like a major overhaul, LOL. New plugs, wires, O2 sensors, fuel filter, new fan belt, and on and on. Even new thermostat and fuel cap. Go the extreme and be done with it until the next time.

Kool....how much for the O2 sensors?and fuel cap? did you get it from ford or is it an aftermarket...?
