timing chain on a v6

Thinking about buying a 2002 v6 explorer. Timing chain is broken. Is this a non interference engine or should I be worried about bent valves?

i believe they are interference engines, depending on which timing chain is broken you may have to pull the engine

I would suspect that the valves are bent.

If a timing chain has actually broken, The heads will need to be removed for a Valve Job.
