Tire question

Hi all,

This might be a stupid ?, but what is the difference between a P235/75/15 and a LT235/75/15?
I know the P is for passenger and LT is Light truck, but..


I will be getting ride of my X for a NEW one in about 6 months or so, and she need new tires. for the LT version it about 120 more. Is that worth it?

If you are getting rid of your 96 in six months I would go with the cheapist tire you can. The LT will cary more load than a P. i know Wal-Mart has a 40,000 all terain for dirt cheap. I think a 235/75/15 goes for around $70 a tire.

the LT has a little thicker cord and belts (higher weight rating) than the passenger... if your gonna sell it put on the cheapest passenger tire you can find.
