Sticks out too far if you ask me.
 












Yeah for any off roading it would be a liability. sticks the hitch out too far.

for that price you can almost or get a custom one made for your truck. I built mine for 200$

Just wanted to let you know that I have purchased this tire carrier and I wouldn't swear by it, BUT it does the job! I suggest that if you can get one fab'd up then go that route. I, on the other hand, had no time or money to go fab one but really needed a tire carrier to get that 36 incher out of the cargo area and if that's the only way to get it out and on your truck then I give it :thumbsup: :thumbsup: .

It does stick out too far (some may say WAY TOO FAR) but it does leave some room for a hi-jack lift with the built in mounting points. A gas can or ammo cans can also be mounted in the space if you can find a way to mount them. It also hurts your departure angle :thumbdwn:
