So I removed the master cylinder on my 2001 Explorer Sport, only to then realize that my leak was a separate distinct part that I can purchase on its own.

My question to you lot is: Can I simply reinstall my old master cylinder? I don't want to shell out for a new one if I don't have to, but I'm reading some conflicting info that indicates that bleeding a used MC can cause it to fail?
Is this true?
