No I don't hang around here anymore but I was still subscribed to this thread lol!

I wrecked my '96 XLT in an ice storm here, bought a '01 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP..did some basic mods and ended up getting to 13.44 @ 103 in the 1/4, Traded it to my parents and now I'm back in an '03 XLT!

I've also had a '00 Ninja 250 and a '05 Suzuki GSX-R600 I've had and parted ways since then.

Hah ah it's ok, rather boring though. But I can't argue it's a nice ride and is perfect for a daily driver I just wish it had Leather/ Sun-roof/ 4.6L lol. I'm kinda waiting until I can trade it in on a 99+ T/A or 04+ GTO.

rebuilding the front suspension almost entirely (everything but the swaybar is getting changed for the most part, the links and bushings for that are getting swapped aswell) so itll be time to push it again...

Speed Limiter Off, Rev Limiter I turned to 5500rpm, from the 6000rpm James had.

At 110, I'm around 4500rpm. IIRC

Yup.
But as much as going really fast is fun... I think better acceleration is more beneficial.

I don't have the balls to go that fast in an explorer. I can't lie. Maybe on a drag strip, but definitely not on a street.

There isn't any noticeable wind noise, well that you can hear over the roar of the engine revving 4krpms

One way to tell if you are hitting the limiter. Older vehicles such as yours will turn fuel off and then re-enable. It will be obvious if you are on the speed limiter. 110mph on 31's is a dangerous proposition,especially if they are all terrains. Be safe!-j

my old 94 explorer hit 125MPH (GPS) at 2200rpms...3:27 and 33s(found them in the woods one day) will do that....my new 98 5.0 all stock awd cuts it at 115MPH....
