Hello everyone,
I am a new poster here. I have a 1998 EB V8 AWD. It had the ARC on it which I have removed and replaced with shock absorbers. I put the Monroe coil over shocks in back and KYB gas-a-just shocks in front. My torsion bars say (R) G A and (L) G A. My spring code on the door says 2H. From what I have read online, it looks like the torsion bars are just below the middle as far as stiffness. Does that sound correct? My main issue is that the front of the truck "wallows" or "hobby horses" over dips and bumps in the road. Should I get the "B" code torsion bars or buy some Rancho RS9000X for the front? The rear Monroe with the coil over brought the back end up(it had been a little saggy) and they seem to give a decent ride, it is just the front that seems to be soft and excessively bouncy. Rock Auto has the Rancho shock for about $88 ea. I have no idea what the torsion bars cost. Ride height wise the front measures at about 32 1/8 at the fender flare and the rear is about 32 1/2. I have 255/70R/16 General Grabber HTS brand new. If I go with the shocks, am I going to wear them out prematurely due to the softer torsion bar? Any input is greatly appreciated.
