would a 4wd explorer torsion key fit a awd explorer im thinking its the same thing but im just trying to make sure

They're not really necessary. Just twist the torsion bar adjuster bolt and get an alignment.

There is no difference between the 4wd and AWD Keys i have a set of 96 4WD keys and a set of 2000 AWD keys both the same but throughout the years and 4wd/awd you will find differences in torsion bars. (stiffness and such)

no, the torsion bars themselves are what effect the ride.
