TPMS Sensor

It's getting to be about time to replace the TPMS sensors on my 2007 Explorer.

What is the latest opinion about what style of TMPS sensors to use: 1. OEM Ford style which mounts with a band or 2. the style which mounts like a valve stem?

orange electronics stem sensors have been all I read about on this forums various threads ... I have a bad one giving an error and have not been able to pull the trigger on this replacement yet and of coarse Ill need the programing module to complete this task

I'd rather not have them. Thankfully I don't see the on this new Ex. It cost me a tire on my wifes car. they disintegrated after time and lost all air and drove on flat killing the tire. They are expensive to replace.
