Trailer Hitch Size

Hi Guys -- This is a minor question, but I need help. I am going to buy by mail a NFL Team Hitch Cover. My hitch measures 1.25 inch but everything I can find says the 2004 Explorers come with a 2 inch hitch. Which is it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

I believe the larger 2" receiver was part of a tow package. My 2002 came with a 1 1/4" receiver which I changed to a 2".
