I bought a Hoppy 4 pin connector for the Trailer lights on my small utility trailer. When I plug the harness between the connector under the rear bumper the tail lights on the truck stop working. I have no Turn/Brake on the truck. This is without the trailer hooked on. The turn signal speed is also increased. I do have front lights. But nothing on the back works.

When I plug the trailer into the T connector. I get some trailer lights to work. When I turn the headlights on I get some light on the two tail lights. Its a little dim. When I put the hazards on the lights also work. I believe my turn signals worked on the trailer but not on the truck. Same goes for the brakes.

So i have no idea whats going on with these lights

Connector plugged in Truck - No rear lights
Trailer - Some lights work

Connector unplugged - All truck lights work properly

any ideas?

thanks,
Ray
