I was told by another driver that my trailer lights weren't working.

I checked the trailer on a different vehicle, and it's not the trailer, or a buld.

I checked the connector pins on the bumper with a test light, and I do get power to each pin, i.e. running lights, left and right brake/turn test good. Here's the thing, the test light is not very bright, so I don't have the full 12 volts. Also, every time I test a pin, I hear something in the left rear quarter of the vehicle click. As I pull the test light off, I hear the click again.

My Haynes manual does not have anything about the trailer wiring. Is there a relay or control module involved in the trailer light circuit?

If I can't figure it out, I'm going to go old school and T off the tail light wires. I would like to figure this out though...

From other posts on here:

"4. Also in the drivers side rear cargo area there were 3 or 4 relays, any idea on what these are for?"

Response:

"The relays on the driver's rear are for the towing package.... they go to the connector for a trailer wiring harness adapter under the bumper..."

Referring to under the panel in the rear where your jack is.

Up top, under your username, click search and you'll find plenty more info.
