I was told by another driver that my trailer lights weren't working.
I checked the trailer on a different vehicle, and it's not the trailer, or a buld.
I checked the connector pins on the bumper with a test light, and I do get power to each pin, i.e. running lights, left and right brake/turn test good. Here's the thing, the test light is not very bright, so I don't have the full 12 volts. Also, every time I test a pin, I hear something in the left rear quarter of the vehicle click. As I pull the test light off, I hear the click again.
My Haynes manual does not have anything about the trailer wiring. Is there a relay or control module involved in the trailer light circuit?
If I can't figure it out, I'm going to go old school and T off the tail light wires. I would like to figure this out though...
