Tranny Fluid-Did I screw up?

Hello Guys

I dropped the transmission pan today and changed the filter on my 5R55E.
I refilled it with Castol Mercon/Dexron.
I checked the owners manual and it showed "Mercon" as the trans fluid.
While I was refilling it I noticed the dipstick stated "Mercon V". I went back to the owners manual and in some places it says "Mercon" and in others it says "Mercon V" for the transmission fluid.

So Did I screw up putting in plain Mercon? Do I need to flush it out for Mercon V?

Do not drive it! Change it now!

Oh yeah, you screwed up big. DO NOT DRIVE IT WITH THE DEX/MERC!!!! You will fry your trans. Drain it, and refill with Mercon V, or a Synthetic fluid that states it meets or exceeds the requirements for Mercon V, such as the Mobil 1 synthetic ATF.

Hope that you didn't started it, so the new fluid is only in the transmission pan, not in the torque converter or cooler or cooler lines! Otherwise you will need to drain those too...
