Tranny options...

If I swap out the A4LD out of my '93, what options do I have? MOst posts I see include engine and tranny swaps - not just the tranny itself...

C5... I believe if ya look in the "CoryL getting some goodies" or what ever the thread is where CoryL showed the buildup of his X... he went with a C5... although it only is a 3spd

Yeah, to keep the 4.0 v6 you can only swap in a manual tranny or a C5 auto there isnt too much that bolts up to the 4.0 v6

If there's still some life left in it, wait a while and maybe AA will make us something where we can have a tranny with O/D.

Er maybe alot of life left... from the last I saw, there was very lil goin on w/ the AA attempts to get us a new conversion kit

The trany itself is still great. It's only the seal at the bellhousing that is gone. I figured I would at least check out my options before replacing the seal. Looks like I'll keep things as they are for now...
