Trans fluid and filter change help

Hey guys,

I just bought an 02 with the 4.6 and really want to change the transmission fluid myself.


I am thinking of dropping the pan and replacing the filter and topping up again. I know that wont change all the fluid...but do you guys think that will be sufficient?

Is there an easy way to get all the fluid out?

Has anyone done a good writeup on a diy fluid change?

Any other tips are appreciated

I just watched a video on youtube. The man changed the fluid on a 2006 Ford Explorer and showed how he pumped the fluid back into the pan and topped it off.
