Hey everyone,

Seeing if anyone can give me some recommendations here. I just took my 05' mountaineer in to have the trans fluid changed. On the way home i noticed that my tuck was smoking, when I had a chance to look underneath I noticed trans fluid everywhere! I'm assuming that they left a plug out however I can't seem to find where the fluid is coming from.

So I have a two part question 1. where would the fill plug be located and 2. how can I replace the fluid that has leaked out?

I would plan on taking it to the shop to have them fix their error however they are closed and I'd worry about them being able to fix it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jason

Did your truck come with a trans fill tube and dipstick? If not, there is a plug on the trans where they filled it from. You gotta either get the truck up on a lift or crawl under there to find it. If I paid them money to service the truck, I'd take the truck back to them fix it, all the while you're standing there watching their every move...
