Sorry if this is covered some where else.
I have a 2008 4x4 xlt with 4.0 with 125xxx
The vehicle drives and shifts fine under normal driving in 2 wheel or 4 wheel and when towing. The problem is if its a hot day 95 (F) or so or when I am driving in the hills a lot the transmission starts to get loud. It doesn't slip but sounds more like a stall converter waiting to shift. I had the fluid and filter replaced at 75,000 miles. I was going to do this again but the local shop said it would not fix the issue. Thoughts and comments please?

Thanks for any help and suggestions.

hows the trany cooler is it stock? may need a bigger cooler if pulling allot of weight also have you tried disabling the O/D when pulling loads up and down hills.

This problem is when its hot out side or after long driving, not isolated only when towing. It is all stock how ever.

check to see if the trany fluid smells burnt make sure the trany cooler isn't clogged up I believe it's behind the radiator on the pass., side

Clutch fan bad?
