Transfer case fluid- 95 explorer xlt

Change my transmission fluid the other day with MERCON V. On the Val bottle there was a tech support number so I call it and ask the tech support, can MERCON V be used in transfer case He answer YES, and also MAXLIFE.

Ford says no. You do you, but I keep V away from my transfer cases.

No, you cannot use Mercon V in the t case. Use Dextron III equivalent.
