Hello. I have just this morning replaced my BW4405 Transfer Case in my 97 Explorer EB 4x4. The original one was about gone ( a lot of whirring when coasting @ about 40 mph. etc. etc. ) The problem that Im having now is that 4wd Low & 4wd High have started flashing intermittently. Also, when trying to drive in the Auto position, there is a terrible shuddering sound coming from the front as if the brakes are being pressed while Im turning it to the left or right. Ive disconnected the battery and reset, but it seems to want to keep doing it. Im inclined to think that the culprit is the electric shift motor on the replacement transfer case, since it came from a junk yard. That and the fact that I wasnt having that problem with the old TC that came off this morning. My questions are, is it likley that the shift motor is the problem, and most importantly, how hard would it be to switch out the shift motors? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
