I've google and searched the forums with no luck,my question is will my 2000 4.0 sohc trans work in a 97 4.0 ohv?

If the sohc trans matches the bolt pattern of the ohv engine, yes, it CAN be made to work. So many questions arise, though, that make such swap extremely dubious, why would you bother? imp

Because I found a clean explorer for 500 but could get cheaper,it needs a trans,mine has a good Trans just bad engine from broke timing chains
