Greetings Members,
My first Post:
Have a 97 sport with the 4.0L engine and trans. 5R55E. Tried the method described by contributor Greg J. at the bottom of page, in this link:http://www.explorerforum.com/Singleton/web/pages/at1.html
It didn't work, the return line to transmission, would not suck the new fluid from this bucket. Instead it would pump in old fluid, so I had to stop this process and just put fluid through the dip stick receptacle and continue on with the process until new fluid appeared in my drain bucket. It just took longer, but it worked.
My question is, what did I do wrong in setup, or is this setup for another model transmission?
