- 2004 Ford Explorer
I have a 2004 Ford Explorer with 67k miles on immaculate condition with the exception that I am now concerned about the transmission. For the last few days when it hits about 3000rpm and shifts from 1st to 2nd I hear a grinding noise for a split second. It is noticeable worse when accelerating uphill. About a week ago I changed the transmission fluid. I followed the correct steps and filled it so that when the engine and transmission were at operating temp that a trickle would be coming out of the overflow. Someone please tell me that I just need to get the parts again and add more tranny fluid and that it's not something worse
