I have a 2007 Sports Trac that has a transmission line leak where it connects at the radiator. Can I repair the leak without replacing the entire radiator.
It depends on the connector and where it is leaking. If it is the threaded connector on the line, then you might be okay with some teflon tape and snugging it down. If indeed it is where the bung attaches to the radiator then you are SOL because the tanks are plastic and not repairable. I had to get a new rad already in my 08 because the upper tank got a crack in it. Gotta love extended warranties. In the old days tanks were metal and you could just take it to a radiator shop and get it soldered.
