Transmission project A4LD.

I was out at my local wreaker looking for an old automatic tranny to rebuild and could not find any . But he has several Aerostar vans with trannies in them, are these trannies the same or are they different. Two of the vans i looked at had a 4.0 liter engine and they were both AWD with auto trannies in them , can anybody help me with this as he is only asking $75.00 for them

The trannies are the same, but the tailshaft has to be changed, as they are 2wd.....

The input shaft may be also be a different length, but they are easily replaceable/interchangeable. I am not sure but am thinking different vehicles may have used different TC's that used varying lengths of input shafts, as they vary from 10 inches to 13 inches.
