Transmission question

91' Explorer 4x4 4.0 I need a transmission. what do I need to change to make it 2 wheel drive. The transfer case and the front hubs are bad. I dont use the 4 wheel drive. The explorer is used to go back and fourth to work. Automatic

Dont waste your time doing that. If its just the transfer and the hubs, thats easy. Go get a junk yard transfer for cheap and while your there grab some used hubs. Then your not de-value ing the vehicle. And its alot cheaper and easier than trying to convert to 2x4. IMHO

AAAAND you still have 4wd. Hubs swap off as easy as changing a tire.
