Transmission question

Any idea why a 2002 4.6 l , transmission seems to slip in the higher gears and possible solutions to fix it.
 






Have you scanned for codes? Unfortunately, the five speed transmissions are not the most reliable. The odds are it needs rebuilt or replaced.
 






It could be the Solenoid pins. They are a steel pin that moves in and out of a hole in the aluminum case. Over time, the case wears and lets fluid by. If that is the problem, you can buy pins that have had a groove milled into them for an o-ring.
