I'm about to bought a 2002 Ford Explorer 4.6L with auto tranny and 105k miles.
The only problem with the truck is a rattling sound coming from the tranny when he is in drive and below ±2100 rpm.
tranny shift smooth, gear engage smoothly.
what should I expect? is this a 3000$ job?
owner got the truck since 3 years and never did a oil change in tranny.
