I have a 97 Ford Explorer sport trac.motor is a 4.0. The tranny was rebuilt a few years ago.About 6 months ag
ne day I was driving it revel up between 2nd and 3rd gear.After that I lost over drive.I pulled the valve body and replaced the whole valve body and electronics.made no difference.2 years later still driving it and now it will come out of gear it seems only at 60mph while costing.it starts making a growling sound.if I hit the gas it quits.also if if go into reverse and back up a hill it pops ands that’s coming out of the tranny.i will not have it rebuilt again.i was ripped off.what should I check? All the fluids are good.
